Bin Mayhem. (Friday 12th November 7pm)
Some Residents in New Wortley have not had their black bins emptied since the 23rd October. Both collections black and green bins were not collected on Tuesday 9th November. Leeds City Council is advising residents to return their bins back to their properties if the collection is not made within an additional 2 days.
The Green bins were emptied Friday afternoon so those who followed given advice will not have had their green bins emptied. The black bins have still not been emptied.The estate is now starting to resemble a rubbish tip.

Revisions to the Local Development Scheme .March 10th 2010

A report to be tabled  to the development plan panel  recommends that the LDS be amended  and  recomends the withdrawal of the AAPs for the City Centre, Easel and West Leeds Gateway,(full report external link)

West Leeds Gateway AAPWork on West Leeds Gateways was at the most advanced stage of all the AAPs. The AAP has been prepared for publication: the stage at which a draft is published for formal representation prior to submission to the Secretary of State and public examination.  It is suggested that the AAP is withdrawn,that  the Council publishes the draft plan for further public comment with a view to its eventual adoption as a supplementary planning document.

Feb 4 2010    Car Demolishishes Railway Club Signage

Not two months after the damage to the crossing barrier a car travelling eastbound on Welliington Road from the crown at approx 10.25pm towards the notorious Armley Gyratory, left the carriageway  veered over the westbound road and adjoining pavement .The vehicle completely demolished the Railway Club signage,minimal damage was caused to the gas holder fence.
